More about the app

One live tracker, plus three tools built around actually flying.

What's Above Me? started as a live aircraft tracker — open the map and every aircraft nearby appears in real time, with its route, an actual photo of that exact plane, and live weather along its path. Alongside the map, three companion tools go further, built specifically around the parts of flying that live tracking alone doesn't cover.

🚪 Live Gate Board Premium

See every gate at an entire airport, not just your own flight's. Pull up the live arrival or departure board for any airport — straight from the airline's own operational data — and filter it down to a single airline if you want. Handy for confirming a gate before you've even left the house, or for double-checking what's showing on the screens in the terminal.

📋 Flight Board

Track a handful of flights at once — your own crew's, or anyone else's you want to keep an eye on. Add the people you're waiting on, even if they're each arriving on a different flight, and see at a glance who's landed and who's still in the air, all in one list.

🛫 About to Fly (A2F)

Type in any flight number and get a full snapshot in one go — terminal, gate, delay, and scheduled/estimated/actual times for both ends of the journey. Turn on "Notify me of changes" and we'll do the watching for you: a real push notification straight to your phone the moment anything changes — a new gate, a delay, or a status update — right up until it lands.
